Why Did Dhruv(Ankit Bathla) Quit Thapki, Who Replaced Him

The Old Dhruv(Ankit Bathla) quit Thapki because he wasn’t ready to be a
feather on screen.

The famous
Ramogi TV and Color’s TV famous Television play Thapki Pyaar Ki 1 took two consecutive
leaps, one being of Seven months and another of Seven years. As usual a huge
leap in a play always comes with some changes in characters exit and entry. In
Thapki, the changes begun with Ankit Bathla aka Dhruv who decided to quit the show
immediately after seven years leap.

The seven
year leap came with a lot of demands that saw most of the characters expected
to play parental roles to already grown up kids. Dhruv (Ankit) is expected to
parent two five year old kids which he was never ready for. Sources revealed
that Ankit was not ready to be a father to an already grown up kid or be called
a father on screen, so he put down his papers.
“It was a beautiful
journey with Thapki. It’s just that I am not prepared to play a father to a five
year old kid now. So that’s the reason I am taking a break from Thapki to
venture in doing other things”, Ankit stated.
Ankit quitting
created a loophole in character Dhruv and so a new Dhruv Pandey had to be
brought to ensure continuity of the show. This show the entry of Jain Shah as
the New Dhruv Pandey. Jain Shah is well known for his good roles in shows such
as Kasturi and Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii.

The New
Dhruv is expected to play a big pivotal role in the life of Thapki and Bihaan
which will change and take twists post this seven years leap.
However, the character Dhruv changed from Ankit to Jain but the viewers from Ramogi TV still hear the same voice used by the Old Dhruv. This is so because Dholuo Version of Thapki Pyaar Kii is just but a transcribed audio that does not feature the exact voices of the real actors but the voice overs of transcribers. With the voice being maintained means the transcriber was never replaced, just as Ankit.
